Clinton: Trump Would Bankrupt America Like His Atlantic City Casinos
Hillary Clinton warned Tuesday that electing Donald Trump could lead the U.S. economy on the path toward another recession — and pointed to the four bankruptcies Trump’s companies filed during his 25 years as an Atlantic City casino owner as an example.
“We can’t let him bankrupt America like we are one of his failed casinos,” Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said of Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, during a speech in Columbus, Ohio.
“He’s written a lot of books about business,” Clinton added. “They all seem to end at Chapter 11.”
The speech was the second time in a week that Clinton has painted Trump as a possible menace to the country. Last week, she laced into the billionaire real estate mogul over his hard-line stance on national security in the wake of the Orlando mass shooting.
